#PaulaSays: Fall 2022 Highlights
Upon my return from my annual summer sabbatical, I found myself extremely busy with back to back travel for speaking
engagements, conferences, and attending events...and I loved every minute of it! Take a look below at some of my speaking engagement and event highlights from the past few months, plus some exciting upcoming (and free!) webinars. |
Ms. JD LaddHer Up Conference
On September 22nd, I had the honor of kicking off the Ms. JD LaddHer Up retreat with an interactive keynote presentation titled “Navigating
Imposter Experiences While Building Your Brand”. Even though I was a featured speaker, I’m still reflecting on how much I learned and experienced as an attendee. Take a look at my LinkedIn posts about the event HERE and HERE. PLI Supporting Diverse and
Inclusive Legal Workplaces
On October 17th, It was my pleasure to moderate two panels for Practising Law Institute (PLI)'s first annual “Supporting Diverse and Inclusive
Legal Workplaces” program: “Allyship Best Practices to Increase Inclusion and Diversity in the Workplace” and “The Power of Sponsorship”. I look forward to the second annual event! Take a look at my LinkedIn post about the event HERE. Orrick Inspire Retreat for Diverse
Attorneys
On October 18th, I facilitated an interactive workshop on navigating challenges, owning your career, building your personal brand, and developing relationships for the Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP Inspire Retreat for Diverse Attorneys. I was definitely inspired by the authentic engagement from all those involved. Take a look at my LinkedIn post about the event HERE. Skadden Black Lawyers
Conference
On November 4th, I was excited to speak at the Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates Black Lawyers Conference about the nuances of personal branding - both in-person and virtual - and the considerations and impact of diversity and intersectionality on branding and relationship building strategies. Take a look at my LinkedIn post about the event HERE. King & Spalding Diverse Lawyers
Retreat
On November 11th, I had the opportunity to speak at the King & Spalding Diverse Lawyers retreat. I love being in a room full of attorneys who are diverse, and speaking to them about the need for, and power of personal branding was awesome. I was excited by the attendees' engagement, and I am looking forward to our continued collaboration! Take a look at my LinkedIn post about the event HERE. 18th Annual National Black Pre-Law Conference
On November 12th, I had the special honor to participate in a Becoming Black Lawyers Documentary Question and Answer Session along with fellow cast members and Evangeline Mitchell, who is not only the documentary filmmaker, but also the person who conceptualized, launched and has successfully produced and organized the National Black Pre-Law Conference annually. It was a truly inspirational and motivational
experience.
I also participated in the LMA Northeast Regional Conference on November 4th, and we decided that we had so much fun during the conversation that we should do it again. Take a look at my LinkedIn post about
the event HERE. To join our continued conversation, you can register for our free webinar "How to Build Your Personal Brand In Person and Virtually", which will explore how to effectively use your personal brand to connect with colleagues, peers, referral sources and ideal clients both in-person and virtually to achieve your career goals. I look
forward to seeing you there! |
